New Calgary video game studio partners with Canada Media Fund to create video game inspired by and developed in Canada
Calgary, October 28, 2021 – Fortress Games is thrilled to announce that it has partnered with the Canadian Media Fund for the 2021/2022 Conceptualization program. With the financial support of the Canada Media Fund, Fortress Games will begin development on their first title Zero State Agent.
Zero State Agent is an open-world, third person, survival game. Set in near future in the wilderness of northern Canada. Infiltrate and survive as you learn the truth behind a new global threat and the forces that brought you here. Fortress Games is excited to share more information about Zero State Agent soon.
Fortress Games was founded in 2020 by Calgary born entrepreneurs David Case and Anthony Masleck. “Making video games has been a lifelong dream and this partnership with the Canada Media Fund is the start of making that possible” said Fortress Games Creative Director David Case. “Calgary has a thriving community of digital creators who are making amazing games and experiences. We are excited to join that community, learn from it and help it grow”.
The Canada Media Fund is a public-private partnership created by the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Canadian media industry. It is used to fund the creation of original Canadian content and support the Canadian media industry.
